There are 4 main differences between eChecks and Digital Checks:
Instant Bank Verification:
The key difference lies in getting set up both as the sender and the receiver. eChecks customer experience is not easy. eChecks don't have the option of verifying your bank instantly to get set up. Checkbook.io allows you to instantly verify your bank using your online banking username & password. eCheck users must go through the manual process of providing a routing and account number.
Send Payments With Just An Email:
To send an eCheck, you must also know the Routing & Account number of your recipient. This is sensitive information hard to collect and store securely. Checkbook.io can send a check to anyone with just an email - the recipient will enter their bank Routing and Account number by themselves when they deposit the check. This means more security for you and for them.
Need An old-fashioned Paper Check? Just Print It!
eChecks cannot be printed like Digital Checks. Many times, your recipient wants a printed check - with Checkbook.io you can provide that. This means Checkbook.io's check can be deposit via mobile apps, ATMs, or even in-person to a Bank Teller.
More Security For Your Funds:
When users instantly verify their bank with Checkbook.io, our system makes sure that their there are enough funds to cover the check amount. eChecks are not capable of this. This adds an additional layer of security for your payments.
