The cause of a Failed Check is that the Recipient's bank information was provided incorrectly.

This means -

  • Incorrect "Account Number"

  • Incorrect "Routing Number"

  • Incorrect "Account Type"

  • Closed Account / Frozen Account

  • Name Mismatch

When a check has failed, the Recipient needs to:

  1. Update their Bank Account information

  2. Reach out to Checkbook Support using the Live Chat feature on the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
